I graduated from UNC in 2018. I still think about Weaver Street like once a week. It is one of the most wholesome places in the world.
A grocery store, turned community center and healing place.

I’ve longed to have a replica of Weaver Street everywhere I lived since, but to no avail.

I got to go back a few months ago- I was overjoyed.

I am giving Weaver street Market one star because of a bad customer service experience I had today at their Carrboro store. I go to this store at least once but often twice a day everyday to get either my breakfast or lunch, latte and groceries. Today when we drove home from Weaver street my 12 year old daughter realized she had left her school laptop computer under the table in a bag at Weaver street market. We drove back to weaver street and it was already closed. We got there 5 minutes after closing time and could see through the big glass door and windows that there were at least 5 of them closing the cash registers, sweeping and vacuuming the floors. I recognized one of the employees, Woody, who I have seen countless times since I go there everyday. I got her attention and told her my daughter had left her computer. She said the store was closed. We could see, through the glass window, our bag with the computer was still there under the table and asked her again what should we do? She just repeated the store was closed and walked away. I was surprised at her reaction. We don't have to have her school laptop today but can someone please tell us what we should do? Should we come back tomorrow? Then I recognized another staff inside the store, a young African American with curly hair, and he recognized me and came to me asking what was wrong and we told him what happened. He went and got us my daughter's laptop. I told him about Woody's reaction, neither helping us nor asking a supervisor to give us an answer as to what we should do, he said he was very sorry for what happened. We felt so grateful for his help and thanked him repeatedly. We parted with saying good night to each other!

Delightful local high quality grocery store (co-op). Basically this is where you’re going to want to come if you’re not in the mood for Whole Foods over in chapel hill.

From produce to cheese to baked goods to the fresh bar, premade sushi… drinks… they’ve got it all. The local wine and beer section is especially large and well sourced.

I tried to capture a great variety of the inside of the store in my photos without being too obnoxious. As usual.

Would easily recommend anything from the bakery or fresh bars.

A little pricey (they focus on local and fair-trade products), but integral to the downtown Carrboro community. They have fresh baked bread, a hot bar, a salad bar, and grab and go. Lots of outdoor seating with live music and community events.

I used to love Weaver Street Market back in the 90's and early 2000's. But then they stopped letting musicians play who were just sitting there practicing or having fun. They changed the entire left side of the store, could not find what I wanted anymore. The entire staff has become entirely delusional college kids who "Want to make a difference" but dont know their knee caps from their elbows. They have seriously changed and today, is not what today should be at Weaver Street Market. Iykyk, It is not the same place I grew up hanging around.....

Probably one of our favorite spots in Carrboro. We tried to join their many events throughout the year, especially Story Under the Star that happens every Halloween every year with costumes, musics, performances and treats.
Furthermore, we also loves their buffet meal, warm and yummy! The lemon chicken dish was my favorite.

A cornerstone of the Hillsborough community. The town co-op has it all, fresh high quality groceries and baked goods. The hot food bar is one of the best meals in town.
