Gave it a solid try, used Prose for about 6 months (shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, dry shampoo). I don't mind paying for high quality products, but Prose did not work. Seemed to progressively make my hair worse. Had issues with dry wiry hair, especially on the ends, whereas on the scalp it seemed weighted down.

Won't be using again, would not recommend.

I am envious of the positive experiences other customers seem to have. I ordered 2 hair products and 2 skin products (they are not cheap as you know). Only shampoo came out right. I believed in Prose process and declined return/refund in favour of the conditioner refinement. Refined conditioner was unusable as well - first formula dried my hair into the wire and the second formula made my scalp greasy within 4-5 hours after the wash. Still believed in Prose and wanted to to continue refinement at the additional cost but nobody ever got back to me after I requested it and no updates were posted on my account. Similar but worse story with facial care products. Cleanser seemed OK at first use, moisturizer was not right from the get go. Moisturizer was so heavy that was not absorbing whatsoever. I again provided feedback hoping that it can be refined. Never heard back about the refinement or return - same as with the conditioner. Meanwhile, after the third use, the cleanser started to cause me irritation, redness and dryness around the nose - clearly, too strong. It has been almost a month since I provided feedback but no response about the refinement. Very disappointed.
Next, online order process needs significant improvement. There are no separate assessments for each product, so if you are happy with one but not the other, the repeat assessment will impact the all products. Next, there are no clear links from your account and orders in it to the return initiarion or to the refinement. Clearly, to prevent returns and refunds.
I no longer believe that the formula are indeed custom because the assessment process is not detailed or specific enough. For example, a teenage customer with sensitive skin and a menopausal mom with sensitive skin have totally different needs but the assessment does not account for it. Same thing about Nordic white skin vs African dark skin. Different melamine accumulation impacts the skin strength, elasticity and moisture retention but there are no questions to take that into consideration. Straight thick hair and textured fine hair will have different needs, while textured hair will have more than a dozen of other factors that differ it within the group - again, no questions to differentiate. Furthermore, the assessment does not provide pictures or explanations what the choices in the hair texture description mean for Prose, you have to choose based in your general understanding. I think I made my point.
Overall, Prose had a great idea but execution of it is far from achieving the mission. I will keep looking for other options as I no longer have a hope that Prose can sort out the above.

Made the decision to try these products as I have been working on treating my hair better and I love the thought of a personalized product. Within 2 uses of the shampoo, pre shampoo mask and conditioner I started having a massive increase in shedding. What was once a few hairs started coming out in drones. I contacted the company about a reformulated version and was told there was nothing they could do and I should check out some supplements. I had not changed one thing aside from using these products. I will say they were very responsive and went ahead and cancelled my subscription and refunded my money that day.
I have since changed my shampoo and conditioner and went back to only a few shedding hairs. I would advise caution when using these products and if you start having these issues discontinue immediately.

Worst investment in my haircare journey and that’s saying something. I have always dealt with on oily scalp but about an year ago my scalp would get oily at the same day I would wash my hair. So, if I would shampoo today morning, by tonight, my scalp would be oily. I found Prose from Instagram ads and saw their overwhelming claims that their customized haircare products would keep an oily scalp fresh between washes. COMPLETELY FALSE! I bought their expensive set of shampoo, conditioner, scalp mask, and hair mask and my scalp would STILL get oily the same day. And mind you, I’ve been using these products for over 9 months because I subscribed to their haircare range. I also tried their ‘Renew & Refine’ option to give this company another shot but still nothing changed.
I am unsubscribing now and on my journey to find new products. Regret wasting so much money.

TL,DR: Not made for Asian hair.

So hard to get in touch with anyone for customer service. Not sure why they don’t provide an easy number to reach as they take so long to respond via email. Tried to cancel my subscription, too difficult. They say they’ve delivered my package to my address in the mailbox, it’s not there. Still haven’t heard back about a replacement or refund. Products are good but they need to improve their customer experience workflow.

Product sucks! Turned my beautiful gray/silver hair yellowish and Im trying to cancel my subscription but there's no phone number to call them and they don't respond to email's. It a nightmare .

Ordered what was supposed to be one time, and was then charged nearly $60 a month later. The company insists i signed up for a subscription; if I did select a subscription somehow I did not intend to do that and selected the one-time option when I made the purchase I did want. Was told it's going to be 5 to 10 business days in order to get a refund, which does not help me buy groceries today one bit. Save yourself the headache, these products are mediocre at best and the company is predatory AF

I was skeptical if the price tag on custom hair products was actually worth it. But I will sick of feeling like my hair was weighed down and frizzy by all the chemicals and junk in normal shampoos so I thought I would give it a try. Let me just say, Prose is amazing. I noticed a difference in my hair within the first week of using it. I got so many compliments about my hair looking more voluminous and shiny than ever before. For my second shipment, there was a slight mix-up when I received another customers product and Prose got back to me within 24 hours and shipped me my order right away.
