Dr. Berookim is amazing and so kind, I went 10+ years without a diagnosis. Other GI doctors and specialists basically told me there was no issue despite being in the ER twice yearly. Dr Berookim figured it out immediately, recommended the appropriate tests and assured me that it was not normal to be vomiting that often. He's got a great bedside manner, his office is kind and easy to schedule with. I've now been 3+ years with amazing results due to small tweaks and meds. Thanks to Dr. Berookim, I finally feel like myself again!

I booked a consult because I had been experiencing stomach discomfort, bloating and fatigue for several months. Dr. Berookim suggested some more comprehensive testing and a colonoscopy, which led to a quick diagnosis of my issue, and direction for treatment.

I was able to complete all of the tests within less than a week’s time. I have a tight travel schedule for work and the ability to complete these assessments in an accelerated manner while I had time off was super helpful for me!

My experience with Dr. Berookim himself was also incredible! He has a calm energy, is very knowledgeable and addressed all of my questions and concerns.

His office staff and procedural teams are also amazing, clearly reflecting his leadership. Lexus, one of his MAs was my main point of contact. She was highly responsive, able to address all my questions and went out of her way to help me navigate some pharmacy hold ups. His anaesthesiologist, pre-op and post op teams were also highly attentive and compassionate.

Working in healthcare myself, I’ve observed that it’s rare to be able to access and experience time with a busy physician and office in this way.

I’m so grateful for Dr. Berookim and his team. Not only do I feel valued as a patient, but feel better physically too. Highly recommend!

Very bad experience. Since then I was diagnosed with LPR and when I explained my symptoms to this DR he was very quick to rule out reflux and go straight to allergies. I was very detailed in the extensive things that I had already ruled out. I even went into my lengthy history of GERD and he was quick to rule that out as a possibility for my throat clearing, mucus and difficulty breathing. This is not the only GI doctor not well informed on managing LPR correctly but won't be the last. It is a shame you can go to medical school for so long and not have knowledge on other forms of reflux that can effect lives so severely. I wouldn't have left the one star review if it seemed like he was giving me the time of day but sadly he did not. I payed 400 dollars out of pocket because at the time my symptoms were so bad I just wanted help some how someway. Sadly it took my own research to manage my condition and get to the point where I can somewhat function throughout the day without excessive throat clearing and breathing problems from stomach contents being refluxed and irritating my throat. I hope one day all gi doctors will have a better understanding of this condition as it effects many people and is an awful way to live.

The BEST!!!! Such a pleasant doctor, extremely knowledgeable and very open minded. Good listener and excellent bed side manner. The office was able to fit me in quickly as a new patient, which I am so grateful for because I was very sick. Dr. Berookim is an amazing doctor and is great with following up. I never once felt that he was too busy to help me-and my treatment took over a month. I highly recommend him.
