Rip off!! I informed the PA multiple times that I was there for a well check only to fulfill city of houston insurance requirements for a discount . They wanted a fee to sign the paper that is part of the process. They took the usual lab samples which I was assured were included. I felt like just a number throughout but then I received a charge for $6000 after I had been very clear I wanted no additional tests. They processed through my insurance which gave them $500 from my HRA and the insurance told me I owed the doctor another $140. However I never received a bill from the doctor until months later it was sent to collections. They claimed that additional tests were needed based on preliminary results but I was never called and never sent a letter. They did give me access to a portal which was not easy to navigate and since I had a regular check up from a credible doctor who found no issues I didn't bother to spend time trying. I feel they are crooks just out to bill for anything and the insurance just paid with my money for information the doctor clearly wasn't concerned enough to inform me about . I had specifically stated no additional work at leat 4 times during the visit yet they managed to steal $500 from me for nothing . At.least insurance dropped the $6k claim to $643! Usually I don't review unless I have something positive to say but these thieves deserve the bad name they worked for .

I got a drive up COVID test at Genesis Medical Group on FM 249. They billed my insurance $627.88 for the test and then $800.00 the next day for a teleconference with Dr. David P. Ellent an oncologist. That phone conference never took place. I never saw a doctor and a doctor never called me. He owns Genesis Medical Group. Draw your own conclusions.

Dr. Ellent has saved my life! About 3 years ago, I went to my regular doctor for a yearly physical. Some parts came out abnormal, and the doctor told me that he will refer me to a GI specialist for further testing. It took forever for the doctor to give me a referral and about 2 months later, I was finally able to see a GI. That GI doctor also did some testing and told me that I may have pancreatic cancer, but I would need another referral and a further testing. However, that referral never happened due to reasons I never understood. From what I knew about pancreatic cancer, it spreads fast and extremely difficult to treat. I could not just sit and wait, so I sought out for 2nd opinion, and found another doctor. Fortunately, this doctor acted quickly and was able to connect me to Dr. Ellent. He was very caring, kind, knowledgeable, and ultimate professional! Dr. Ellent and all his staff are truly the best! Because of them, I am still alive and going strong 3 years later. Thank you, Ellent!

I had a follow up visit scheduled with Dr Ellent and when I showed for the appt. I found that he had moved. When I went to his new office they didnt have my medical records. After going nack to his old office to get them I was told they would cost me $25. I live 90 miles one way from his office. No help from either office. I will be talking this over with my PCP to see if he can refer me to someone else.

Dr Ellent is kind, caring, and above all, patient. Let me explain my situation. Without going into great detail, I did not fully understand what I was faced with. He pulled out a three foot piece of that "butcher" paper that covers the exam table and drew out the entire situation. Then he added the precise procedure and the end results desired. He explained how medicine(s) work and how changing the prescribed frequency can completely change what it does. He detailed the importance of diet and exercise. He instilled confidence in me. His staff too seemed to mirror his process and bedside manor. I wish I could do more to thank Dr Ellent. You will see that he loves his practice and humbly cares for his patients.

took a covid test on Friday with same day results. next thing i know I'm on the Athena heathcare portal with non access. no one available to talk to for days.
