I’ve been seeing Doctor Stein for a few years now for severe cluster migraines, and my mother has been seeing him for even longer. He’s always taken the time in the room to listen as well as give all possible options with treatment so that we feel included in the process. He always clearly states the plan and next options as well so that I can do my research before the next visit. Not only that, but I always have to bring my daughter with me and he is so kind and sweet to her. He brings his dog Brody by to keep her happy and allows her to play with his tuning fork. Chanel is exceptionally sweet and understanding and always bright and chipper as is the nurse. We highly recommend Doctor Stein.

I am a patient of the Dr and I decided to bring my husband to Dr Stein as I trusted him to help us when 2 other doctors did not. He did all the proper testing and finally gave us a diagnosis. He was not in a rush to treat this illness with drugs and tried different methods first. He decided my husband needed a brace ( for his balance and walking problems) .The day my husband picked up the brace , his walking improved by over 50%. We were elated. I feel Dr Stein takes his time and looks at each facet of them problem. I am so grateful for his help, when two other doctors just considered it "old age"

This review is about Dr. Stein's staff, specifically a lady named Chanel who I had found very pleasant at the time of my consult with Dr. Stein.

Today I received a phone call from Chanel requesting payment for an outstanding balance that she said my health insurance had not covered. Apparenty she had made earlier phone calls to my husband that I was not made aware of.

I carry not only one form of health insurance, but a secondary and also a tertiary in hopes of having my medical needs fully funded and I pay dearly for this coverage. Chanel advised me that Dr. Stein's office was not responsible for filing tertiary claims. I explained to Chanel that the only way for me to be able to file and process the claim myself was to get the claim form from her office detailing the charges, the proper codes for the procedures and their provider number. Chanel responded that this was also not her responsibility and that she did not have the form required. Then without further ado she proceeded to advise me that she would send the bill to a
collection office..

While I clearly understand that it is not Dr. Stein's office responsibility to file tertiary insurance claims, with Chanel's refusal to send me this form- Form 1500 Health Insurance Claim which is not only available in most Dr.'s offices but it can also be downloaded from the Internet - so that I can submit it myself, she is preventing me from collecting an insurance payment for which I pay hefty premiums. She is also
preventing me from obtaining these funds so I can pay Dr. Stein what he is owed.
With sending the bill for collection the only result will be a downgrade of my credit
and no benefit for Dr. Stein's office.

In this time and age of insurance complexities for both Doctors and Patients it is hard to comprehend why we can't help each other for better results than this one.

Dr. Stein is wonderful! He has helped me so much with my terrible insomnia & migraine headaches. He takes the time to answer my questions & never makes me feel rushed. He's the real deal & I am so thankful for him.
