There’s always someone in here which tells you something about the place. Claus and his wife know their stuff.

Summer sausage is as fresh as I’ve had.

My kids love the double smoked bacon for the taste. My wife loves the double smoked bacon because it is meaty, not fatty.

Their lunch meat is really tasty and moist.

Prices are fair. I’m so glad this place/family is in town.

First time in a German, butcher shop, and it was a great experience. We weren't sure what exactly we wanted, but the lady working behind the counter was really patient and helped us pick what wursts would work best for the recipe we were trying to make.

When you walk in, there's a counter with all sorts of meats. They also have items listed that they can get you from the back!

The place felt super authentic!

Claus’ is a prime spot for picking up delicious meat at great prices. The service is family-oriented and friendly, making for a welcoming atmosphere. The environment is clean and straightforward—just look in the glass case, point to what you want, and they’ll wrap it up for you to take home and cook.

They also have some items ready to eat, which is a nice touch. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to grab quality meat with ease!

There really isn't any other meat market that can compare. Claus has excellent meats: fresh, smoked, and cured. The German style cold cut selection is overwhelming. I try a different schinken each time. The cervelat and ring bologna are both delicious. The kielbasas and metts are all excellent. Try the pork spread hanging in the meat case. It's incredible 🚀.

This is an authentic German butcher shop. Everything here is quality. Yes it is a little expensive but the quality is fantastic. Claus is from Germany and came to the USA decades ago. He was already a trained butcher when he came here. This was originally located on a different street and was owned by Klem. Klem became Claus's employer and Father in law. Claus bought him out and when they moved, Claus renamed the store. You are getting authentic German sausage and meats, done the old way which takes time and costs more. Highly recommend all of the sausages and the double smoked bacon cut to order is to die for. Try the Landjäger, it's a German jerky, nice little snack for the drive home. Check out the photos of Claus and his son at the same age in similar clothes. Apple definitely didn't fall far from the tree.

Decent selection of German cold cuts, but I'm not too impressed with the flavor. The products I bought were a little low on spices. The bread they sold looked really good, but was a bit stale.

Well went to the website and saw that they still take bear meat to smoke and make sausage out of. Called last week to make sure and the lady said yes anytime after October 1st they do. Took the meat in today and was told that they no longer take bear meat in. Very poor customer service from them is all I got to say. Will now find another place to take all of my different kinds of wild game meats. 👎.

I've been here more than a few times now and every time I go in able to find something interesting to try. I recommend the cajun salami if your into something with a bit of spice. The folks that work here (I imagine their the owners) are happy to help and always pleasant. Prices are affordable for the quality of the meats.
